PR Account Director

We are looking for an Account Director (AD) who can effectively handle a wide range of assignments, projects, and clients with a high degree of success and independence.

The AD should demonstrate a high level of professional knowledge and skills in the digital space. They should be capable of managing and overseeing either one large account or several smaller accounts, with input and guidance from the Group Account Director or Business Unit Director. The AD must have a thorough understanding of the digital landscape and a proven ability to achieve digital objectives. This role also involves ensuring that client expectations are well-managed throughout all phases of their campaigns. It includes implementing digital marketing strategies, overseeing all channels, and ensuring optimal return on investment and conversion delivery. The AD will serve as the client’s day-to-day contact, building trust and confidence.

The ideal candidate should possess strong project management, budgeting, mentoring, people management, and business development skills. The expectation is to take responsibility for the portfolios they manage, providing excellent client service, demonstrating diligence, and striving for profitable growth.

It is the AD’s duty to build and mentor the Account Manager or Account Executive working with them to meet all client and Clockwork expectations.


The ideal candidate is responsibilities for:

  • Managing client relationships, including handling proposals, quotes, and contract management.
  • Overseeing ongoing client research and updates, providing regular feedback on trends and opportunities to clients.
  • Informing and educating clients about digital marketing opportunities to drive increased conversions.
  • Ensuring that all departments are delivering in line with client expectations.
  • Planning, coordinating, and controlling the entire digital production process to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Accurately monitoring and recording all workflow processes, managing schedules to optimise productivity, and maintaining absolute client satisfaction.
  • Being accountable for service delivery, adhering to the highest standards, and continuously implementing quality controls across all aspects of digital production.

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have at least 6 years of polished and professional experience working as an Account Manager within a busy agency, managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Has experience measuring key performance metrics in the digital environment.
  • Has experience with Google Analytics, web development projects, and innovation.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of search engine optimisation, paid media, and social media marketing.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team in a high-pressure environment with various deadlines.
  • Must be detailed-orientated and have an excellent customer service delivery track record.
  • Should be exceptionally well-presented and have an excellent command of the spoken and written English language.
